Welcome to our interactive website. Compass House Medical Centres serves the areas of Brixham, Galmpton and Kingswear. There are two main surgeries, the main site is in King Street, Brixham and the branch site is located in Langdon Lane, Galmpton. Across our two surgeries, we have a practice list of approximately 11,500 patients. The main site has been in King Street since 1999. The consulting rooms are located across three floors with lift or stair access to each. Quay Pharmacy is located within our building on the lower ground floor. The Galmpton surgery was extended in 2007 to provide a larger reception / waiting area and increase the number of available consulting rooms. The consulting rooms are located across two floors.

Text Reminders

From the 2nd November 2011, text reminders will be sent out for advanced booked appointments on the weekday preceding the appointment.  Please ensure that you notify the surgery if you change/have changed the mobile number we have on record.

Missed Appointments

In the month of November, there were 328 non attended appointments.  In the month of October 2011, there were 276 non attended appointments.  Patients who do not turn up are jeopardising important appointment availability for needy patients. If you cannot make your appointment for whatever reason please do let us know via telephone or using form on this website so that we can offer that appointment to somebody else in need.

The Practice

Situated in the picturesque town of Brixham which lies at the southern end of Torbay approximately 50 minutes from Plymouth and 15 minutes from Torquay. The main surgery at King Street comprises of 8 GP consulting rooms, 5 Nurse treatment rooms and two waiting rooms with views over Torbay. We have an in house pharmacy on the lower ground floor and all floors are served by a lift for ease of access. There are a few parking spaces in King Street subject to the restrictions on the sign post. These are not specifically for the use of our patients. We have two disabled parking spaces located around the corner in Berry Head Road. Otherwise parking is available at the Breakwater car park or in Brixham town. It is a road traffic offence to park in the lay-by outside the King Street Practice. This facility is for the use of the bus service that stops at the Practice and ambulances that are responding to 999 calls.

Our branch surgery at Galmpton comprises of 2 GP consulting rooms, 2 Nurse treatment rooms and a comfortable waiting room. There is some limited parking at the Galmpton surgery.
