Request a Prescription
Doctors normally need 48 hours (excluding weekends) to process repeat prescriptions.
If your doctor has authorised for you to receive a repeat of your medications, you will be issued with a printed repeat order form attached to the script. Either drop this in at Reception, with the required items ticked, or telephone reception between 9am and 3pm.
You may pick up the prescription from Reception. Alternatively we can arrange for your prescription to be sent directly to one of the chemists in Brixham or Hookhills. Please allow extra time for your script to be processed and/or delivered from the nominated pharmacy. If you wish to change your collection point you can let us know online by clicking here.
If you require a review of your medicines before the next prescription can be issued, please book your appointment in advance.
We have a policy of issuing 28-day prescriptions; we normally use generic names rather than brand names.
Please inform us of any reason why you are requesting your medication early.
Repeat Dispensing
For patients on long-term stable medicines, the doctor may issue a repeat dispensing script with your agreement. This means that the pharmacy will hold a number of scripts for you (usually six months supply). After collecting the last script, you would need a medicine review to obtain the next supply.
In-House Pharmacy
We have a Pharmacy located in-house, Quay Pharmacy, situated on the lower floor at our surgery in Brixham. Your prescription can be dispensed within the surgery building straight after your appointment if you wish. You may, of course, take your prescription to any other pharmacy.
